Stage 1: What is the role of the project manager?
- The specific role of the project manager, a balance between influence and authority
- Principles of influential leadership
- Leadership styles at different stages of the project
- Getting the group to commit to the project
- Application exercises and structured discussions
Stage 2: Involving the group in the project
- Mapping the project's stakeholders using socio-dynamics to form the group and establish influence strategies
- Mobilising people around the project, successfully launching the project
- Pitching to persuade
- Application exercises: Working on your sales pitch;
Stage 3: Overcoming resistance to the project
- Recognising and managing obstructive behaviour
- Mobilising allies
- Negotiating and influencing
- Managing disagreements
- Application exercises, role-playing
Stage 4: The difficulties and biases of working in a group
- Making decisions in a group: power struggles, quality of leadership
- The different ways of working together or communicating at different stages of the project
- Application exercises based on professional situations:
- Build a collaborative action plan;
- Conduct a participatory review
